Built by people who've done the walk and the write-up
SightWalk was started by a fire-protection business whose technicians spent their evenings typing up site visits, and a software company that builds and hosts business systems.
Why we built it
Experienced technicians can spot what's wrong on a site in minutes. Getting that into a tidy report and a quote takes hours, and a lot of what they noticed is lost somewhere between the clipboard and the office.
We wanted the technician to be able to film the walk, talk about what they're seeing, and leave the typing to software, while a person still checks every line before it reaches the client.
Who's behind it
SightWalk is a joint venture between CompuTechnics and a South African fire-protection company.
Peter Knoechl
Peter knows what a good inspection report looks like and how the quote follows from it. He leads the trade knowledge and sales.
Nick Pike
Nick's team builds SightWalk, runs the hosting and implements the ERP systems it connects to.
Made in South Africa
SightWalk is built for South African accents, South African sites and South African data law. The speech recognition runs on our own servers, is tuned for South African English and is set up for trade practice and standards as they work here.
Try it with your team
A pilot puts SightWalk on your own sites. Your techs film the walks, your reviewer checks the drafts, and the quotes go into your ERP.
